July 22, 2016 – Ken, LA7GIA informs DX-World of plans to be active from C.A.R
I have obtained authorization to operate as TL8AO in the Central African Republic. So I plan to go to Bangui as a single-op in 2016 and mainly do some CW. TL is ranked 50 WW mixed and 20 on cw. This will be similar to my 7Q, D6 and 3C activities – except this time I will be on 80m as well. More details later.

Felix, DL5XL (N5BC), will once again operate from Antarctica using his callsign DP1POL. QTH is the German research base « Neumayer III » in Grid Locator IB59UH, IOTA AN-016, WWFF DLFF-022.
Activity will be from November 2016 to February 2017 on the HF bands, mainly in CW and digital modes. QSL manager is Ray, DL1ZBO, who reliably responds to all bureau and direct requests. Additionally, logs are uploaded to LoTW regularly.
There will also be a ham radio operator on the next wintering team at Neumayer Station III. Daniel, DL1SU, works as an electronics engineer at the base. He plans to use the club call sign DP0GVN from December 2016 to February 2018. QSL cards for DP0GVN will be handled by Dominik, DL5EBE, direct or via the bureau.

Jack Matang Tekitanga, T30TM is a new operator and local resident on Tarawa island, Kiribati. Although not very active he does sometimes check into the ANZA Net (14183Mhz @ 0500z) or the 7163 DX Group (7163Mhz @ 0900-1200z).
He uses an ICOM IC-M700 transceiver which has no S-meter.
QSL direct only to VK1TX.

Zorro, JH1AJT will be active from Myanmar (XZ) with Champ, E21EIC, Franz, DJ9ZB and Madison, W5MJ, from 15th to 22nd November 2016.
His main purpose of this trip is to support Olympic and Paralympic Committee in Myanmar.
Activity will be on 80 – 10m bands CW, SSB and RTTY, by two stations, using a tri-band beam for 20/15/10m and another beam for 30/17/12m bands. Wire verticals will be used for other bands.
Call sign will be announced as soon as we know.

Zorro, JH1AJT Sera actif du Myanmar (XZ) avec Champ, E21EIC, Franz, DJ9ZB et Madison, W5MJ, du 15 au 22 novembre 2016.
Son but principal est de soutenir le Comité olympique et paralympique au Myanmar.
L’activité sera sur les bandes CW, SSB et RTTY de 80 à 10 m, par deux stations, en utilisant un faisceau tri-band pour 20/15 / 10m et un autre faisceau pour des bandes de 30/17/12 m. Les verticales de fil seront utilisées pour d’autres bandes.
L’indicatif d’appel sera annoncé dès que nous le saurons.

NEWS UPDATE – The ship to Mwokil island OC-226, which the V6J team have been waiting on, was unfortunately cancelled – it had initially broken down and then the destination was changed several times. However, the team will not give up. They will try to be on board the next ship departing in Spring 2017. Updates on ship schedule to follow.
Des Nouvelles Mise à Jour – Le navire pour Mwokil island OC-226, Que l’équipe V6J attendait, a été malheureusement annulé – il avait initialement décomposé et ensuite la destination a été changée à plusieurs reprises. Cependant, l’équipe n’abandonnera pas. Ils vont essayer d’être à bord du prochain navire au départ au printemps 2017. Mises à jour sur le calendrier des navires à suivre.
