I want to thank you for setting up the support post for the guys from ARA in Algeria.
I have been in 7X in 2015 and the safety policies from my company were very strict. I was living and working at a radio station near Algier. I was in touch with the members of ARA to see if we can arrange a meeting. The security at radio station was very careful and questioned a lot: where am I going, when do I come back, whom am I with (they took copies of their passports, car registration) …and so on. Afif (ARA Presient) was very kind and we had some nice talks. I got a tour thru Algier and I can say that I would have not seen anything of the country if I wasn’t in touch with ARA. They could have applied for my own license but my visit was short notice. Anyway, I operated a bit at 7X2ARA.
The members there are serious with their activities… from IOTAs, lighthouses and so on. They educate new members, make training and give lectures. If ARA goes down, I am sure that a lot of activities from 7X will not happen anymore the way they are. It might “just” start with the good working QSL bureau.
I hope that some more donations will come in order to help ARA. I wish them all the best.

Je tiens à vous remercier d’avoir créé le poste de support pour les gars de ARA en Algérie.
J’ai été en 7X en 2015 et les politiques de sécurité de ma société étaient très strictes. Je vivais et travaillais à une station de radio près d’Alger. J’étais en contact avec les membres de l’ARA pour voir si nous pouvions organiser une réunion. La sécurité à la station de radio a été très prudent et interrogé beaucoup: où est-ce que je vais, quand est-ce que je reviens, qui suis-je avec (ils ont pris des copies de leur passeport, enregistrement de voiture) et ainsi de suite. Afif (ARA Presient) était très gentil et nous avons eu quelques belles discussions. J’ai eu une visite à travers Alger et je peux dire que je n’aurais pas vu quoi que ce soit du pays si je n’étais pas en contact avec ARA. Ils auraient pu demander ma propre licence, mais ma visite a été un préavis court. Quoi qu’il en soit, j’ai opéré un peu à 7X2ARA.
Les membres sont sérieux avec leurs activités … des IOTA, des phares et ainsi de suite. Ils éduquent de nouveaux membres, font de la formation et donnent des conférences. Si ARA tombe, je suis sûr que beaucoup d’activités de 7X ne se produiront plus comme elles sont. Il pourrait ‘juste’ commencer avec le bon bureau de travail QSL.
J’espère que d’autres dons viendront pour aider ARA. Je leur souhaite tout ce qu’il y a de mieux.
