NEWS UPDATE – As posted on DX-World twitter page 4 days ago, all recent cluster spots for P5/3Z9DX are fake. Dom is not in North Korea, nor about to return.
Furthermore, Dom got in touch with DX-World to say recent info posted on ARRL website and ‘Daily DX’ is incorrect.
“I have not talked to ‘DX News’ or ‘Daily DX’ or any other DX source about my return trip to P5. All DX spots are fake and are made by local Polish guy who is not mentally well. If you worked P5/3Z9DX recently you worked a simple clown / pirate. There is still no more information for now from North Korean officials about my return visit.
In addition, at the moment, I’m concentrating on other projects for later this year and 2018.”

NEWS UPDATE — Currently half the team are prior engaged in other IOTA & DXpedition projects taking place later this year. However, tentatively, the first week of March 2018 is the new preferred period for this much anticipated IOTA DXpedition. More info during November.
MAY 3, 2017 — Due to circumstances outwith the team’s control, this IOTA DXpedition has been rescheduled for early 2018. Note: The license paperwork has been received and accepted, however no license has yet been issued hence the reason for rescheduling.
MARCH 2, 2017 — An experienced IOTA team is in full planning stage for an activation of Tigres Island AF-108, Angola. This activity will take place in the first half of June 2017. Website and full details to follow. Note: This IOTA group has never been activated.

The Dateline DX Association is very pleased to announce significant progress in our planning to operate in 2018 from KH1, Baker Island National Wildlife Refuge, the 4th most wanted entity in the DXCC program.
We have executed a charter agreement with a ship, the Nai’a out of Fiji, with an anticipated arrival at the refuge during the 3rd week of June, 2018. We intend to be at the refuge a total of 12 days with 10 days of operations. This ship and dates were chosen in consultation with the US Fish and Wildlife service based on availability of their resource monitor, avoidance of the cyclone season, and Nai’a availability. Propagation forecasts look favorable for HF to Western Europe (a large target audience for us) during this time as well.
As with any DXpedition to the really rare ones, this will be another large budget operation. The 11 operator team will contribute over 50% of the expected budget of $400,000.

L’Association Dateline DX est très heureux d’annoncer des progrès importants dans notre planification pour fonctionner en 2018 de KH1, Île Baker National Wildlife Refuge, la 4ème entité le plus recherché dans le programme DXCC.
Nous avons signé un contrat d’affrètement avec un navire, le Nai’a de Fidji, avec une arrivée prévue au refuge pendant la 3ème semaine de Juin 2018. Nous avons l’intention d’être au refuge un total de 12 jours avec 10 jours de opérations. Ce navire et les dates ont été choisies en consultation avec le US Fish and Wildlife Service, selon la disponibilité de leur contrôle des ressources, éviter la saison des cyclones, et Nai’a disponibilité. prévisions de propagation semblent favorables pour HF vers l’Europe occidentale (un grand public cible pour nous) pendant cette période aussi.
