6W/UA4WHX/P – AF-078

NEWS UPDATE – Vlad recently got in touch about his “midnight meeting” with the 6W military on Carabane island. Basically, the second-in-command initially detained Vlad due to his ham radio activity. However, the next morning he was released. The picture is of Vlad with the man who arrested him!

Indeed, the military man later emailed Vlad:

December 18 by Bob, M0MJA – Vlad is active from AF-078 and has had some serious problems from the island at 20:30 hrs last night. He was detained by military personnel with M16s machine guns and taken away from the island.

His equipment was taken from him and was taken by boat away from the island. After an hour and a half of discussion and negotiation they finally accepted he was doing no harm and escorted him via speed boat boat back to the island.

He is now active again but also has challenges with power and fuel for the borrowed generator.

Very eventful time for Vlad so please try to work him when you can, presently he is working 17 meters.

December 16 – Vlad, UA4WHX is currently active as 6W/UA4WHX/P from Carabane Island AF-078. QRV on HF bands. Length of stay unknown. QSL via H/c.

Nouvelles Mise à Jour – Vlad récemment entré en contact au sujet de sa « réunion de minuit » avec les militaires 6W sur l’ île de Karabane. Fondamentalement, le second commandant initialement détenu Vlad en raison de son activité de radioamateur. Cependant, le lendemain matin, il a été libéré. L’image est de Vlad avec l’homme qui l’a arrêté!

Le 18 Décembre par Bob, M0MJA – Vlad est actif à partir de AF-078 et a eu des problèmes graves de l’île à 20h30 la nuit dernière. Il a été arrêté par des militaires avec des mitrailleuses M16 et emmené de l’île.

Son équipement a été pris de lui et a été pris par le bateau loin de l’île. Après une heure et demie de discussion et de négociation ils ont finalement accepté qu’il ne faisait pas de mal et l’ont escorté par bateau de bateau de vitesse de retour à l’île.

Il est maintenant actif à nouveau mais a également des défis avec la puissance et le carburant pour le générateur emprunté.

Temps très mouvementé pour Vlad si s’il vous plaît essayer de le travailler quand vous le pouvez, actuellement il travaille 17 mètres.
