The countdown is on; just 60 days ‘til activation. Procurement of final materials and supplies is in process and being shipped to team member K8LEE – Wayne.
Wayne and Jay-K4ZLE will rent a cargo van for transport of most of the gear to our staging area in Canada departing their homes around 12 August. Phil, VA3QR will be driving to the staging area with the generators and several other items. And, lastly Murray, WA4DAN will also drive to Dingwall, Canada with several yagi’s. Other team members will be flying.
The team is excited and looking forward to a very inclusive operation, i.e, satellite, 2 meter EME, RTTY, CW, SSB. We also have plans to include working Tech and General Class. We appreciate the visits to our website and those who have taken the “NEED SURVEY”.
We are gearing up to assure we meet the band and mode needs expressed, as well as, concentrating on successful contacts on the long and difficult propagation paths to various locations in Oceania, Japan, India, Asiatic Russia, western USA and VE, etc. Our thanks for the financial support; that helps greatly on the upfront cost of the dxpedition.

Gerben, PG5M has announced that he will be operating from Macao as XX9TGM (call confirmed on arrival) between June 20-27, 2016.
It is difficult to find a suitable spot for operation from Macau and previous DXpeditions had quite some trouble as they were surrounded by mountains, except in southern direction and on top of that there could also be heavy local QRM. I have choosen for a different, but more expensive location; Grand Coloane Resort. This hotel should have better radiation to all directions but I still need to explore after arrival how to install the antennas. I will use a vertical wire with 1:4:9 balun and perhaps a vertical dipole with open feeder line (design DJ0IP). Radio will be Elecraft K3 with 100 Watts. Operation will be from 40-10 meters including WARC and CW only. Perhaps I may also try 80 meters.

[Rappel] XX9TGM – Macao
Gerben, PG5M a annoncé qu’il sera opérationnel à partir de Macao XX9TGM (Appel a confirmé à l’arrivée) du 20 au 27 Juin 2016.
Il est difficile de trouver un endroit approprié pour le fonctionnement de Macao et DXpeditions précédents avaient assez peu de mal car ils étaient entourés de montagnes, sauf en direction du sud et sur le dessus de cela, il pourrait aussi être QRM locale lourde. Je l’ai choisi pour un autre emplacement, mais plus cher; Grand-Coloane Resort. Cet hôtel devrait avoir un meilleur rayonnement dans toutes les directions, mais je dois encore explorer après l’arrivée à l’installation des antennes. Je vais utiliser un fil vertical avec 1: 4: 9 balun et peut-être un dipôle vertical avec ligne d’alimentation ouverte (conception DJ0IP). Radio sera Elecraft K3 avec 100 Watts. Opération sera de 40-10 mètres incluant CAMR et CW seulement. Peut-être que je peux aussi essayer de 80 mètres.
