A Russian Robinson team consisting R2DG, R7AA & UA6EX plan to be active from Leont’yeva, Bear Islands AS-022 as RI0LI during third week of July 2017. Bear Island archipelago is located in the East Siberian Sea, the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia). A website will be available in a few weeks time.

Members of the newly formed EI DX Group are delighted to announce an exciting project to Nepal during March 8th to 20th 2017.
For the 1st time, this all ‘Echo India’ DXpedition team will operate up to 5 stations continuously for 9 consecutive days on all bands and modes from 80m through 10m.
Their QTH is located 30 kilometers outside Kathmandu, in a quiet suburb sited at 5,600′ above sea level, with great views and take off across the Himalayas. Find out more here

Hawk (SM5AQD) and I are working to activate Mellish Reef this coming November. Currently working to obtain landing rights from the appropriate government agencies. We have also applied for a VK9M callsign. The team consists of 8 operators and 4 stations. At least half the operators will be from Europe, and the rest from North America. We are going to be operating on the following bands: 10m through 160m. Due to current propagation forecasts, we are paying particular attention to operating on the lower bands (20m-160m). Modes of operation will be CW/SSB/RTTY.

I’m in Equatorial Guinea until January 27th trying to obtain licensing for the 3C and 3C0 DXpeditions. (Equatorial Guinea & Annobon). I arrived here on the 17th & immediately started meeting with the licensing authorities. Quicker progress would be made if I “downsized” these proposed 60+ day DXpeditions to a shorter period of time. I hope to have some good news soon but this is probably pretty optimistic thinking.

Je suis en Guinée équatoriale jusqu’au 27 Janvier en essayant d’obtenir des licences pour le 3C et 3C0 DXpeditions. (Guinée équatoriale & Annobon). Je suis arrivé ici le 17 & a immédiatement commencé à rencontrer les autorités compétentes. Des progrès plus rapides seraient réalisés si je réduisais les DXpeditions proposées à plus de 60 jours à une période plus courte. J’espère avoir quelques bonnes nouvelles bientôt, mais c’est probablement une réflexion assez optimiste.

I’m happy to advise that my license has been renewed (thanks Rod YJ8RN) and I’ll be returning to Vanuatu in July for a mid-winter break and some radio fun.
QSL: Clublog OQRS (Direct and Buro), LoTW, Direct and Buro
Operating holiday-style but with a real effort to look for Western Europe around local sunrise and sunset on 20 and 30m. Western Europe is a difficult path with short opening times and this is reflected in the Clublog ranking of #62 for Europe (#87 worldwide). I will also do more RTTY this time (and JT65 if condx really get bad!).
Club Log uploads will be done at least daily (there is wifi in the bar 🙂
As in previous years we’ll be taking up milk powder and other supplies for the children at the Little Lights Preschool in Mele village. All QSL donations are gratefully received and are used to support the children.

Opération de vacances de style, mais avec un réel effort pour chercher l’Europe de l’Ouest autour du lever du soleil local et le coucher du soleil sur 20 et 30m. L’Europe de l’Ouest est un chemin difficile avec des temps d’ouverture courts et cela se reflète dans le classement de Clublog # 62 pour l’Europe (# 87 dans le monde). Je ferai également plus de RTTY cette fois (et JT65 si condx vraiment mauvais!)
Les transferts de Log de Club se feront au moins quotidiennement (il y a un wifi dans le bar 🙂 )
Comme les années précédentes, nous prendrons du lait en poudre et d’autres fournitures pour les enfants au Little Lights Préscolaire Dans le village de Mele. Tous les dons QSL sont reçus avec gratitude et sont utilisés pour soutenir les enfants.
